Brief Answer:
You can plan pregnancy with in 6 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You can plan your next pregnancy in 6 months.
Before conceiving there are some advices and planning so that you will delivered a healthy baby.
As you have mentioned that you are prediabetic and had PIH during pregnancy then my advices to you are -
1) You should maintain your BMI( body mass index ) between 20 -26, so that you are able to maintain your weight during and after pregnancy( weight plays a very important role in your case)
2)You should start taking folic acid tablet from now onwards along with calcium, multivitamin, zinc and argenine.
3) You should consult a gynaecologist before planning your baby and get your blood pressure, sugar and thyroid under control.
4) Take healthy diet which contain more fresh vegetables and fruits. eat less oily and spicy food.
5) Cut short the use of caffeine and alcohol.
6) Do some exercise, yoga, walk and meditation to keep your mind fresh and maintain your blood pressure and sugar also.
You should go for some investigation before planning like thyroid profile, urine test, HBA1C, blood sugar, serum creatinine( to rule out sugar, thyroid and blood pressure)
HBA1C to see three months sugar level in your blood and see your diabetic status also.
First and most important thing that before planning your baby you should always be in contact with a gynaecologist and go for your examination and test as and when required.
I think this is useful to you, if you want to ask more questions I will be happy to help you.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr. Richa
