Brief Answer:
Go for plastic surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph and your baby is having congenital melanocytic naevus.
Surgery is definitely the treatment of choice in this but I would recommend you to wait for some more years and go plastic surgery instead of laser surgery as it has a very rare chance of recurrence.

Brief Answer:
Complete disappearance won't be seen with laser

Detailed Answer:
Hi
In Laser treatment multiple sittings will be required and it has been seen that the results are 75-85 percent.
Complete disappearance is usually not seen and some pigmentation will be left and there are always a chance of recurrence.
But with surgical excision chances of recurrence are rare and it is complete removal.
Yes the mark will be bigger if surgery done at a later stage as it will increase proportionately with the increase in the size of the face.
So you can even plan a surgical excision now.
