How To Remove Insulin Pen Needle Stuck In Throat?
Question: When taking my night time meds, I accidentally swallowed an insulin pen needle still in the plastic shroud. It went all the way down - not sruck in my throat. What should I do now? Thanks.
Brief Answer:
Please dont worry , it will come out
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Please dont worry , the needle is still in its plastic shroud and is not stuck in your throat, nothing will happen , it should come out in your stool by 1-2 days.
If you develop stomach pain , distension , or fever , then meet your doctor , he will ask for a xray/ultrasound scan of your abdomen and guide you further.
In the meantime i would like you to take lots of water and if possible bananas as it will help in bringing out the needle in your stool.
You will be fine, dont worry!!
Take care!
