Is Lower Back Pain And Wrist Pain Due To Metformin?
hi i've been on metformin for about 10 yrs now and have recently got off glipizide to a insulin pen .before the insulin pen actually about a year and half ago my lower back and left wrist have been getting more and more painful could metformin be the culprit?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You are using metformin since 10 years, had back pain and wrist pain one and half year back how cum you blame the metformin for this pain. It is not the cause it may be due to the arthritis, or spondylosis. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I. of the lower spine for diagnosis . I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, ofloxacin, and mefanamic acid. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
