How To Rule Out Breakthrough Bleeding?

Question: Hi. I am currently trying to conceive. According to my ovulation kit, my peak fertility day was Wednesday( 2 days ago). I had pink spotting Wednesday and Thursday. The spotting stopped Thursday night. Today there was no spotting but at 5pm I had a gush of red blood that seeped through my clothes. It only happened once. No bleeding since. My concern is the red blood. Does it mean I will not conceive this month? I am 39 almost 40.
Brief Answer:
Gush of bleeding is not good for trying for pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
Spotting means ovulation which is a good sign.
But gush of bleeding is breakthrough bleeding which is not good. The chances of conceiving in this cycle are not high.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
