How To Stop Masturbation At Night?

default
Posted on Mon, 26 May 2014
Question: I am 70 years old and my wife has told me that I masturbate in bed whilst fast asleep. I am shattered about this and feel disgusted with my behaviour. Until she told me I had no idea this was happening.
Some years ago I had brachytherapy for a prostate problem and currently I am checked each year for any reoccurrence of cancer in my bladder. The brachytherapy left me unable to have normal sex and Viagra etc don't seem to work for me, I can get a partial erection which I guess I ought to be happy about. I really want this sleep thing to stop. How can I achieve this please?

Brief Answer:
It is not an illness!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this rather embarrassing observation that your wife mentioned and all the inconveniences that this has caused you. I understand your feeling about this and know it would be so disturbing for a man to hear that coming from his wife.

I will like you to know that this is not an illness. There is also not magical pill that would be prescribed to instantly stamp out this attitude. What it takes are measures to help prevent you from doing this. It is a subconscious act that you for real have no directly control over. This is not a known side effect of surgery that you had.

The best way to address this problem would be to prevent the hands from having easy access to the penis. This can be achieved by putting on protective hand wears like gloves during sleep or dressing in such a way that the hand cannot easily gain access to the penis.

In either way, it is not ideal option but rather another tough measure to help prevent what you are clearly not happy with. It would be difficult but it is the only way to try and abolish this attitude. Compare this to a toddler sucking the tongue unconsciously. It is the exact same mechanism. We have no control over this.

In all, try physical measure to great barriers so as to abolish this. There is no drug for this. It is not an illness and surgery is not the cause of this. just another subconscious act that we have no control over.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to request for more information and clarifications if need be.
