Question: I am 20 year old and i got pregnant. I want to abort but i dont want to go to any hospital its too humilating. I know i hav done wrong. I am 3weeks pregnant can u plz help

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

First of all do not feel sad or guilty. You have plenty of time to abort if you are three weeks pregnant.

Buy an MTP kit . If that is not available then buy the tablets separately. I am giving you a detailed instruction . Follow it carefully.

Take 1 tablet Mifepristone 200 Mg orally with a glass of water before dinner as soon as possible.

Wait for 24 hours.

Then take 4 tablets of misoprostol 200 mg each orally together before food any time of day.

You will start getting crampy pain in your lower abdomen with maybe vomiting. This means you have started aborting.

You will start bleeding also from vagina with clots and brown red materal.

Do not worry. Stay at home at all times and keep drinking water . Take bed rest as much as possible.

The bleeding and pain will last 3-4 days. You have to tolerate.

After that once you stop bleeding get a sonography of pelvis done after 7 days to see that you have aborted completely.

I cant get those medicines without prescription its illegeal.. what do i do.. and do i hav to do sonography.. is it compulsory?

In some states like maharastra you cannot get without prescription but in some states like West Bengal you get it (legally) without prescription easily . Try to get it from some contacts or look in other states also with less strict rules.

I took the medicines and yesterday after taking i got cramps very badly and i am bleeding heavily but no clots are there. Is it normal? Abortion will succeed or not? Today is my second day. Plz suggest what should i do?

Hii... actually i have been getting spots for some days... but nw from yesterday i hav been bleeding a bit not much heavy... so is it normal.. what do i do.. i read about infections... do i got infected or some thing.... and how this bleeding will continue.. it started on 1st...

If only spotting is there then do not worry. Just take some antibiotics like Cefixime and Metronidazole for 5 days to be on the safe side.

The spotting should stop in a week

But if bleeding is heavy then it might be an incomplete abortion and then you need to show a gynecologist for complete evacuation.

No its not heavy... its lyk 1-2 stayfree a day... and not fully used... i took pregnancy strip test and its negative... i wil start the medicines tomorrow... is the abortion complete.. becoz strip showed neg.. and i did it today... and how long this bleeding will continue and when i wil get my next periods...and the dosage of above mentioned med...

If the pregnancy strip is coming negative then you have nothing to worry.

Just take the antibiotics and the spotting will reduce on its own in a week.

Next periods will be after a month but can be delayed by 2 months also . Do not worry about that.

Dosage:

Tablet Cefixime 1 tablet 500 mg two times a day for 7 days after food
Tablet Metronidazole 400 mg three times a day for 5 days after food.
Table pantoprazole 40 mg once a day in morning empty stomach for 7 days
