Is it true that lexapro could make my tinnitus worse
Brief Answer:
uncommon effect but can be in your case
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Tinnitus has a tendency to increase with anxiety and disturbed sleep...lexapro cannot usually increase tinnitus.
If you are having increased tinnitus since the time you started lexapro, then it might be something specific for your body and it would be wise to stop this molecule and try some other drug.
Have a speedy recovery!

Would ativan be a better choice used just as needed?
Brief Answer:
yes, but for SOS use only, not daily
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
For sleeping problems ativan is fine but dont take it daily as it is habit forming. You can take it in a low dose like 0.5, 1, 2mg...which ever is ok for you.
If you feel ativan is not giving fresh sleep then you can gofor zolpidem 6.25 or 12.5mg . This is safe and not an addicting molecule. Gives only 5-6hrs of deep refreshing sleep.
Good luck.
hope this helps you.
