
Husband Has High BP, Cholesterol, Thyroid, Diabetic, Othoritis. Are These Contagious ?

Question: Hi Doctor,
My sister is married for 20 years now and her husband is 48 years. Her husband has multiple problems like
a. High BP
b. Diabetic
c. High colestrol
d. Othoritis
e. Thyroid
He has developed these problems from one year now and taking medication for the same.
My question is
1. Is it good for my sister to have a healthy sex realtion with her spouse?
2. Does she need any precautionay measures like condoms etc?
3. Is there are chance she will get them and can be contigious?

The diseases that he is having are not contagious and are not sexually transmitted. There is absolute no reason for concern.
