I Am Insulin Resistant Type 2 Diabetic. Have Fast Heart Rate. What Medication Should Be Done?

Question: ok, I'm an insulin resistant type 2 diabetic. My fasting blood sugar level has been between 250-280 for about 4 months. I workout 4 days/week. I eat smaller meals, stay away from sweets. I feel perfectly fine. What do I do?
I'm 6'1 & 205 pounds, I'm in pretty good shape. My cardio is great, I get my heart rate between 160-170 on high intensity days which I've recently stopped because I was burning muscle.

Hi
With your current profile you do require medications for control of blood sugars. I would advice metformin for yoy. I would also advice you get done Hba1c which gives average blood sugar reading of last three months. Continue with your lifestyle measures as they do help. Your fasting blood sugar should be less than 130 mg/ dl
Hope this helps
