If Someone Has Pains In Right Side Of Heart. Can It Be Heart Attack?

A heart attack occurs when there is blockage in one or more of the blood vessels in the heart. It normally affects blood vessels on the left side of the heart but blood vessels on the right side of the heart can be affected as well
It is only possible to determine if it right sided blood vessels or left sided by doing tests such as ECG , echo or cardio angiography. The main blood vessel on the right side is called the right coronary artery , this would break into smaller branches.
The symptoms are generally the same whether the vessels on the left side or right side and include: severe chest pain in the center of the chest which feels like a pressing, heavy or tight pain. This pain can radiate or spread to the left jaw, arm
(2) shortness of breath
(3)severe anxiety
(4) profuse sweating
(5) nausea
(6) cough
(7) light headed feeling
Chest pain can occur for reasons other than the heart such as problems with the lungs, bones in the chest, esophagus, muscles.

If there is an old injury or previous MI then it may show up on the ECG tracing done.
In an old injury the ECG would show what is called q waves. In an lateral infarct the leads involved would be mainly lead 1 and avl.
During an ECG different leads are placed on the chest , arms and legs, these leads relate to different parts of the heart.
An echo may also show changes in the lateral aspect of the heart
