Hi im 49, 4ft11, 9stone(57kg) ive been exercising since 32, moderately 3-4 times a week, but have lapsed months here and there! very in tune with my body, take no medication what so ever, not painkillers, antibiotics,ect! i had a breast reduction 3 years ago and healed very quickly, i believe as i refused all after medication? ive not visited surgery in the last 3 years until now! reason after having a gap in training i returned to the gym as ive done so many times before, but experienced extreme pain in my chest done my right arm, guidiness,on the treadmill,which was low intensity as i was starting up after a break! this happened when i attended again, i stopped going tried power walking, the pain started again, tried the bike same, when im having sex it can happen! the doctor tested for diabetis,all clear, sent me for the lying down ecg, at this point the nurse said he should of rquested the treadmill ecg, the consultant at the hospital intially was its unlikely anything wrong for your age but we will do as you are here! an irregularity showed, and it was recommended i have an angiogram! my gp said not do exercise just walk until i had this test! which i adhered to! i also wake up on occasions with my right arm totally numb and cold even though i have not been laying on it! i travelled to spain and on the plane became giddy, hand went pure white with pins and needles, i was given oxygen, and was sick! the day before my angiogram which i had yesterday, i went to the gym as i wanted to prepare my mind for the test! was on the stepping machine,20 mins, rower for 5mins which i struggled and when i finished my heart felt like it was coming out of my body, the thudding was so strong! i had a pressure like someone was sitting on me for the rest of the day! i have a constant feeling in the base of my neck and inbetween my shoulders that is there more often than not! the test came back ok, i asked why i had these symptoms he said it could be spasm of the ateries! im menapausal and my last period was 2 months ago and before that was 6 months ago! is there any chance an angiogram can be wrong? and would spasm of the ateries be so alarming?
