Is 60% Stenosis Of Left Renal Artery A Cause For Concern?
Following advice.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
My opinion is that you shouldn't worry about renal artery blockage as long as this doesn't cause hypertensive crysis or malign hypertension (resistent hypertension).
Renal artery stenosis is a common problem in women suffering from dyslipidemia, hypertension or conective tissues ( rheumatic ) disease.
This is why it doesn't require angioplasty and stenting procedure and the only recommended measures for the moment are :
- treat BP under control with diet and antihypertensive agents
- take regularly dyslipidemiant agents (crestor)
- take regularly aspirin
Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
