Is Advil Advisable For Severe Pain After Root Canal Treatment?
Question: I am having severe pain following a root canal treatment. Can I really take care of this with advil? If so, how much can I take at one time?

Pain after RCT indicates there is some problem with RCT or there can be remaining vital pulp tissue.You need to get proper clinical re-evaluation of associated tooth.Meanwhile you may take advil in dose of 800 mg per dose three times a day.In case of severe pain you may take maximum of 3200 mg per day.If there is swelling then also start with antibiotic like cefixime 200 mg twice a day for 3 days.
Consult endodontist for proper treatment of associated teeth.
