Brief Answer:
Azithromycin is an antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms, i have gone through your question and I understand your concerns. Azithromycin is basically an antibiotic and will help stop the vomiting only if it was caused by a bacterial infection . In order to stop the vomiting , you need an antiemetic as metoclopramide ( primperane) tablets three times daily . if you could not take pills by mouth due to vomiting , you can take metoclopramide or zofran injection once and repeat only if needed.
As vomiting leads to the loss of large amount of fluids , you need to make sure you are adequetly hydrated with at least 8 cups of fluids daily preferably water and fresh juices. I hope I answered your question.
