Is CMIA Test Post 6 Months Of Exposure Conclusive?
Question: Hello Sir/Madam,
I'm 34 years old man. About myself, I had graves eye disease for 2 years and I took radio iodine treatment on Nov 26, 2015. I would like to know if my radio iodine treatment can change the test results by any chance.
I had unprotected sex with a girl, whom I met online on XXXXXXX 20, 2016. I had multiple tridot tests as below.
1. 1 month after exposure: result: Negative
2. 2 Months after exposure: Result: Negative
3: 94 Days after exposure: Result: Negative.
Finally I had CMIA test after exact 6 months from exposure and the result is non-reactive (0.10).
I'm really worried, whether I can take my test results as conclusive or not.

Brief Answer:
The results are definitely conclusive.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX.
Welcome to HCM.
You had unprotected sex with someone and the result of tri-dot test after 94 days along with CMIA test after 6 months of exposure, both are non-reactive then it is 100% conclusive because the window period for HIV also varies from 15 days to 3 months. These results have nothing to do with graves disease so allay the fear or worry related to HIV as you are absolutely safe and risk free.
Thank You

Thank you Sir. But I've seen somewhere in the internet that the Elisa or Tridot test couldn't able to detect HIV for 2 years and that was able to detect using PCR RNA test. Could you please let me know if I have to take that test as well. I'm really worried about multiple confusing answers on web. Please help me.
Brief Answer:
No need to take any more test.
