It is better to wait. You can try cuddling n take him out for some time.
There can be identifiable causes of colic like giving cow milk, improper dilution of formula milk, inadequate burping, consumption of cabbage, legumes or other flatulent agent by breast feeding mother etc.
Try to find out other causes. If there is no significant identifiable cause and baby continues crying even after taking other measures you can give colicaid.
