Is Colostrum A Effective Medication To Strengthen Immune System?
My wifes physical ability has got much worse over the past few months. She has had several stays in hospital over the past two years. She has two stents inserted afew weeks ago. Many trips were made to primary health clinic for treatment for a leg ulcer and cellulitis. She is a smoker[ten to fifteen a day]for the past sixty years.
Can introduce it, although would not completely depend on it or expect much
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I am sorry to hear about ma'am, and really hope things get better for her. As for the use of colostrum (usually bovine strains, a.k.a. animal derived) it has shown a lot of promise in various fields, including an improvement in human immunity after use for about 4-8 weeks. But I would like to point out that as per medical guidelines the information and research conducted is insufficient to really expect much to change for individuals with a lowered immunity.
So I would although support the idea of introduction of colostrum for her, I would at the same time not expect too much from the colostrum and not completely depend on it for boosting ma'am's immunity sir. Please also make sure she is not allergic to cow's milk or such animal products.
A diet rich in fruit and vegetables should be considered, along with the introduction of multivitamin supplements at this stage in time.
I hope and pray she can recover at the earliest. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
