Viral fever are self limiting. Many of the Pediatrician give Antibiotic empirically for the treatment.

1. Paracetamol (Crocin): 10 to 15 mg per kg per dose 6th hourly

2. Azithromycin (Azithral; Antibiotic): 10 mg per kg body weight once a day for 3 days

3. Amoxicillin ( mox: antibiotic): 25 mg per kg body weight per dose twice a day

I would suggest the following which you can give your baby

1. Wheat porridge/Dalia/Lapsi
2. Curd rice
3. Home made vegetable or chicken soup
4. Chapathi and vegetables

I would also like to share one recipe which is nutritious and is tasty

Ingredients: Khajur ( 50gm), almond (50 gm), pista ( 50 gms), cardamom* 6, milk , Whole wheat flour and desi ghee

Finely powder the mixture of dried dates, almonds, pista and cardamom and keep it aside.

In a pan pour 2 spoon of ghee, heat it. On medium flame. Add two spoons of whole wheat fluor. Fry it till deep brown . Add 2 cups of milk . Cook it for 30 second. To this add the powdered mixture.

Feed your XXXXXXX . Supplement her breakfast and evening snack with this.

It is nutritious and will meet the milk demand also.


No need of any multivitamin supplements.
