Is DJ Stent Placement Necessary During A Radical Prostectomy?

Question: I need opinion of a urosurgeon
My uncle is advised radical prostectomy i need second opinion
Surgeon has advised for DJ stenting, whethere this is necessary for this operation since i dont found any reference to this.
