Consultation
Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.
Duloxetine is an excellent choice to tackle anxiety and nerve pain. It is a very safe and effective medication. About 1 in 5 people will experience some mild nausea or changes in bowel movements for the first few days of taking it, but this goes away within a week or so. This medication is likely to help you!

My current medication Remeron (Mirtazapine) was taken last night. How long should I wait before starting on the Duloxitine?
Also wanted to mention, I am what my primary care called "pre-diabetic". And after have be told that 2 years ago i became obsessed and have lost over 40 lbs.
I have not, an cannot, gain any weight back. This combined with a severe case of
acid reflux (HERD) and infection in my stomach that required anti-biotic (Pylera) for 3 weeks making it more difficult to try and gain weight. Will this medication help with this affliction beside anxiety and nerve paid?

Detailed Answer:
You can take duloxetine and mirtazapine at the same time. However, most doctors recommend taking duloxetine in the morning, as it can sometimes be wakefulness-promoting.
Duloxetine doesn't directly lead to weight gain, but will help primarily with anxiety which may allow you to worry less and eat more to gain some of that weight back!
