Brief Answer:
They are both the same medicine ma'am

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Dyrenium has the active ingredient triamterene; so dyrenium and triamterene are the same and there is no comparison to be made ma'am. So it could be possible that it is just a difference in the dosage between the two; one may be the right dosage and the other many not be sufficient enough. :)

Dyrenium is just the brand name given to the drug triamterene. I would also like to point out that both dyrenium and triamterene are used for the following conditions:

+Cirrhosis of liver
+Nephrotic syndrome
+Edema
+Edema associated with congestive heart failure
+Idiopathic edema
+Steroid induced edema
+Other causes of edema

This drug is not used to help induce sleep, if at all that was conveyed to you, or if that was your understanding. I hope I have explained things in a manner best understood by you. Please do not hesitate to write to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
