Is EBC-46 An Effective Medication For Recurring Meningiomas?
The query am raising is related to my mom's health. Am attaching the profile. Kindly refer the medical history of recurring meningioma.
I recently heard about EBC-46 injection to permanently dissolve the tumor in not more than 48 hours. I want to know the following things.
1. Is the information about EBC-46 dissolving tumor true?
2. If yes, where to approach for initiating the same.
3. Where can i find that drug.
4. Is it a good way to treat the mom's underlying condition
5. If not what's the best way to completely cure the residual tumor
On googling, i found that herb is found @ some place in Australia. I have a visit to Australia in coming days, if i get good guidance i would approach the concerned person here for the same.
Please respond inline to the queries raised.
EBC-46 has not been tested for human meningioma yet.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have gone through your questions and the replies are below.
1. Is the information about EBC-46 dissolving tumor true?
Ans: Yes, it is true in animal models (mostly mouse); however, not true for human tumors.
2. If yes, where to approach for initiating the same.
Ans- Not applicable
3. Where can i find that drug.
Ans- Not commercially available. It is still in experimental stage (Clinical trial phase I).
4. Is it a good way to treat the mom's underlying condition.
Ans- No; as it has not been tested in humans or in meningioma. So, we need to wait for phase I, Phase II and Phase III trials, especially in human meningioma; and then, its approval or disapproval by the FDA. Even if successful, it is likely to take 5-10 years for these experiments.
5. If not what's the best way to completely cure the residual tumor.
Ans- Radiation therapy is the recommended treatment for treating residual meningioma.

Here goes my follow up questions.
1. Is the information about EBC-46 dissolving tumor true?
Ans: Yes, it is true in animal models (mostly mouse); however, not true for human tumors.
[XXXX] Am sharing a video URL which shows that it treated tumors in humans. Could you please go through it again.

2. If yes, where to approach for initiating the same.
Ans- Not applicable
[XXXX] Any change in the response after watching the video.
This is about the phase I trial that I mentioned.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
1. The video clipping talks about phase I trial that I mentioned earlier (response to question 3 above). Moreover, phase I trial has not included meningioma patients.
2. Since the trial has not included meningioma patients, even if your mom is ready for experiment with the new drug as part of phase i trial, she is not eligible (this trial is being done for other cancers at the moment).
