Is Elisa 3rd Generation Test Done 1 Year After Exposure Conclusive?
Allergic cause likely. Tests advised to rule out TB. No HIV.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at the HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.
I would like to tell you that you have taken sufficient and adequate number of tests at proper time. The ELISA test which is negative at 12 weeks is conclusive evidence. Yes you are HIV negative and I advise you no further tests. As far as your persistent cough is considered I would suggest you to get complete haemogram, ESR, Chest X-Ray and sputum ZN microscopy and culture sensitivity test for Tuberculosis. Also get throat examination done by ENT Specialist to rule out any allergic cause. As of now I advise you no medication except over the counter cough suppressants. Get tests done. Stay in follow up.
Take care.
Hope I answered your query.
Rating and review will be appreciated.
