Brief Answer:
Fluconazole and restoring gut flora will help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I understand your concern. Gut yeast infections are common after long time antibiotic use. Yeast is a normal resident of the gut but when the good bacteria are wiped off, after an antibiotic use, there is a yeast overgrowth that takes over and becomes a problem. The goal is to not only reduce the yeast overgrowth, but also to restore the good bacteria.
While fluconazole is a good anti yeast medication, you should keep in mind that in most cases, once the treatment is over, the yeast overgrowth can come back fast. First of all, you should take the fluconazole for at least a month, and in the mean time, you should eliminate sugars in your diet, because sugar feeds the yeast. Complex sugars such as pasta, potatoes, grains, bread and fruit should also be cut beck or reduced to half the usual amount you consume. Reducing fermented foods is also sensible, because while they promote the good bacteria, they also feed the bad ones.
Lastly, it may take a few months to completely restore the normal gut flora, but you need to be persistent and consistent.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to answer them.
Wishing you good health and all the best.

Brief Answer:
You certainly can

Detailed Answer:
You certainly can, but personally I am not a fan, as they may cause gas and bloating and occasionally a gastrointestinal infection in patients with another underlying cause.
But if you have taken pribiotics in the past without issues, than you can keep taking them.

I hope this answers your question. I'd be happy to answer any further questions you might have.

I wish you good health.
