Is Glycomet Suggestible During Pregnancy?
Question: Hi, I am 16 weeks pregnant and was predibetic ( 150 mg/dl) after 75 gm ogtt @ 2 hours, but was not taking any medication. Controlling sugar by diet alone. Now at 16 weeks pregnancy, blood test showed Blood sugar ( 150 mg/dl) after 75 gm ogtt @ 2 hours , and Urine Sugar ++, Doctor has prescribed glycomet 250 after lunch for seven days and regular sugar monitoring. I am scared to take tablet as it I think it can harm baby. Is it safe to take this medicine during pregnancy ?
