I have swollen lymph node behind left ear and under jaw on left side. I still have tongue lesions after 9 months. And stuffy and runny nose.. Under what circumstance would someone have delayed seronconversion..
Brief Answer:
Immunosuppressive drugs alter titres not results.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
Seroconversion usually occurs by 3 months and rarely by 6 months. Unlikely beyond this period
The reasons may be like cancer, those on immunosuppressive drugs .
These may reduce titres but usually may not alter test results.
So you can allay fears of HIV.
These symptoms can be investigated by a physician thoroughly.
You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you

How reliable are the test. And do everyone seroconvert at the same time my exposure was vaginal sex. Is it the same as homosexual exposure. I also am XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Do XXXXXXX XXXXXXX seronconvert same time as other races.. I have been to many doctors and they all diagnose me with having nothing wrong they just give me antibiotics that dont work. Before the exposure i was an healthy individual who worked out 4 to 5 times a week and now i continually get sick with stuffy nose blurry vision lymph node swelling and jumpy muscles.
Brief Answer:
Reliable.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
The antibody tests are reliable after 3 month.
Antibodies are formed by 2 weeks to 3 months of exposure. This time frame is given keeping in mind of all possible routes of entry (vaginal/ anal), makeup of individual etc.
So whether XXXXXXX or XXXXXXX or Asian the antibodies will be formed .
6 months period is given as a further extension too.
So please consult a physician or infectious disease specialist for evaluation.
You can get back for any clarification.
