Hi...friend....I m Dr.Kumarbhargav....pathologist...
I understood your problem....
ECLIA is the 4th generation
immunoassay....which detects the p24 antigen of HIV....it has window period of around 2-4 weeks....after infection....if occured...
Now you have activity with sex worker....what was the status of that sex worker HIV negative or positive that is important....and also....there are chances if she was positive....but you might be lucky...that you may have not acquired....infection....
Also....you have tested 193 days...after....that exposure....
and still test negative....so i think you are fine....
i tell you the signs suggestive but not disgnostic of HIV...like prolonged
diarrhoea,
cough,
fever for more than 3 months, chronically debilitating health....as HIV itself doesn't cause any symptoms but it will breakdown your immunity....so other opportunistic infections....occur that causes symptoms...
I would suggest...there is no need...of retesting....and ECLIA value cut off less than 1 is not significant....
If you are still in doubt...you go for...advanced Nucleic acid amplification test.....that measures HIV
RNA....(NAT)...that is also best.....
Thanks for contacting....but Be safe in your activities....in future...because...you might not be lucky...next time....feel free to contact...health care magic
