Brief Answer:
The possibility of HIV infection is almost ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi & Welcome.
Thanks for your reply, noted its contents.

There is nothing to worry.

ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is quite sensitive in detecting the HIV infection. However, since the antibodies against HIV are not produced immediately, there is a "Window period" of about 3 weeks to 6 months (time interval between HIV infection and the production of measurable antibodies) during which the test may be negative.

The vast majority of people (97%) have detectable antibodies by 3 months after HIV infection, a six-month window is extremely rare with modern antibody testing.

Western Blot test is a very sensitive blood test used to confirm a positive ELISA test result. It is usually done if the ELISA test is positive.

In view of the above explanation, since you have done both the tests after exposure, the combination of these two methods is highly accurate to rule out the HIV infection. She is also having negative tests, so there is no need to repeat the test again.

Hope this answers your query.

Take care.
