Brief Answer:
You need to get tested after one month.

Detailed Answer:
Dear xxxxxxxxx,

Welcome to HCM.

HIV DNA PCR is a good indicator for HIV positivity but not much reliable so soon. You need to go for repeat testing after one month with the same test or 4th generation HIV Duos test to get more reliable and accurate result.

Thank You

Brief Answer:
Both tests are same.

Detailed Answer:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx,

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

Both tests you had mentioned are same with much high reliablity and accuracy after 4 weeks which is nearly 95% but the window period for HIV or ELISA ranges from 15 days to 3 months so you had to go for repeat test after 12 weeks to get 100% reliable and conclusive result. If still any doubt left in your mind feel free to ask and I am here to help you.

Thank You

Brief Answer:
The chances are there but the risk is low.

Detailed Answer:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,

Welcome back once again.

The risk of getting HIV from anal sex is much less as compared to vaginal sex. The chances of blood or precum entering into penile urethra are there but the transmission risk of HIV is very low from single unprotected intercourse so no need to worry much

Thank You

i read that every specialist doctor in internet said The risk of getting HIV from anal sex is very high as compared to vaginal sex.

Answered by Dr. Sunil Jangid (51 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
The risk depends on many other factors than route.

Detailed Answer:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx,

The probability of HIV transmission depends on many other factors despite route as like exposure type, partner status etc. The chances of getting the infection are more with vaginal sex as compared to anal sex in my opinion and the risk in your case is also less what I can say so don't get worried and get tested after 4 weeks with 4th gen HIV Duos test to relieve your anxiety and clear all the doubts.
