Is HIV Duo Test Done 25 Days Post Exposure Conclusive?
Question: Hello Doctor,
The past three weeks I have been very sick and tired. First I had à sore throat that evolved to an infection then I felt extremely tired and have been having ear pains. My chest sometimes gets red and face and eyes. No rash and no fever or diarrhea.
Saw several doctors and most of them gave me antibiotics which didn't really help me out.
In regards to exposure I had multiple encounters with girls with oral activities but always using a condom.
I already did an HIV duo test after at least 25 days after the last exposure and it was negative. Today I did another one as the hospital asked me to do it. Today is at least 35 days.
What are my odds doctor?

Dear XXXXXXX
Welcome to HCM.
You had multiple oral encounters but with condom and HIV Duos test is negative 35 days of exposure then you need not to worry because the risk of the infection is very unlikely or practically not there.
The symptoms you have might be due to any other infection but nonspecific for HIV. Consult physician go for some investigations to isolate its cause and gollow the treatment regime as per the advice.

Hello thank you for the message. The test was negative at 25 days I took another one today and still have not got the results...
Will have them tonight.
So the 25 day test is reliable to what extent?
Sir
The test came out negative, as I said it has been at least 36 days since last encounter.
Should I forget about HIV?
