Is HIV Test Done After Six Weeks Conclusive?

default
Posted on Mon, 7 Dec 2015
Question: I had unprotected oral sex with a female of unknown status. 6 weeks after the encounter I got tested negative for HIV, chlamydia, and gonorrhea.

12 weeks later, I developed this bump (or pimple) inside my lower lip (images attached). It is NOT painful and I don't feel it most of the time.

Can this be related to the encounter? (say syphilis or Herpes?).

This Does not look anything Like an STD.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health care magic , I am Dr Muhammad Ahmad I understand your concern and will guide you through this health care query,

I have seen the pictures you sent me , quite closely, this in my opinion is just a simple swelling it is in NO WAY anything related to an STD syphillis and Herpes have different kind of pustules they infact mosly have ulcerated growths and they are many in number.

They have a typical look which is particular about these diseases I would suggest you not to panic much and keep your calm all your tests are negative and there are no other symptoms which can indicate an STD so i would suggest you to stay call this will heal up itself.

This in no way is anything related to STD just a simple mouth pustule they keep on comming and going off and on no big deal.

I hope this answered your question If you have more I will be happy to answer.

Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
