Is HIV Transmission Possible Despite Having Protected Sex?

default
Posted on Thu, 4 Sep 2014
Question: Made a horrible decision and had sex w a random girl Las Vegas. After the fact i found out she was a prostitute. She performed oral on me while wearing a condom, we had vaginal sex with a condom as well. I did perform some oral on her with out protection. I have no clue if she has any std's. Obviously I am a horrible person but everything i have read states I am at very low risk for HIV with wearing protection with everything but
performing the oral. I know that the only 100% gurantee is not having sex but is it true that the oral sex on a woman for a few moments is lower risk? Sorry so long. I am just freaking out. Thanks

Brief Answer:
less chances of HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi Bucalo,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
You are right, there is low chances of HIV spread by the type of exposure you had but still you run some risk.
Other diseases like hepatitis B, herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea can spread by oral exposure as well.
Better get yourself examined by a local physician and get investigated for STIs
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
