Is Lidocaine 5% Ointment Still An Available Medicine?

Question: Do they still make lidocaine 5% ointment? I used to use it a lot but my last prescription was from 2003 and I don't seem to be able to get it from the Dr, as he says it is not available anymore.

OK, you want to know what I use it for, I have hemorrhoids and also it works so well for vaginal tissues when they are sore and tender, it takes the hurt away so well. My location is near XXXXXXX Ohio so you can see if any place in that area has it. Thank you. I guess I don't know how to spell hemorrhoids, I will try it that way, that looks better. If you can find it for me, that would be great. My family Dr gave me 2% lidocaine jelly which does not work nearly so well. I hope you can help me out. Can you prescribe it for me?
