Is Meniere's Disease Related To Sinus Infection?

Question: I have had Meniere's disease for the past 19 years. I have had periods of time where I have had no symptoms for up to 2 years. Other times it seems dizziness and vertigo are almost a daily event. I am currently having issues. Other than reducing sodium intake, taking diurectic pills and methazolomide I have never really had any other treatments that seemed to do anything. I had one doctor perform gentamicin injections, another perform a surgery to repair a fistula, none of this really seemed to help. Deep down I feel like my ear trouble is related to sinus problems, I always have more problems during or after a cold. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Brief Answer:
meneires disease not related to sinus infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, meneires disease, is not related to sinus problem, but yes symptoms can aggravate during the sessions of cold. That's because of negative pressure in middle ear causing pressure on the healed fistula plate. Treat cold in early stages. Steam inhalation and valsalva exercises will help in attacks of cold. You have taken all possible treatments for meneires disease. Vestibular rehabilitation exercises is recommended to improve your giddiness. Discuss about this your doctor. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
