Is Metformin Advisable During Pregnancy?
Question: My wife is pregnant and it is first month now. We consulted a doctor and she prescribed "metformin hydrochloride 500mg" immediate and patterned release. My wife has PCOD. I heard the above tablet is for diabetic and wondering why it is given for my wife? Could you please help if this tablet is necessary?
