Brief Answer:
It is possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using health care magic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
Although it is rare to have both positive and negative tests in properly followed test procedures but it is possible because samples are not handled properly in some centres. This may be the reason for negative tests.
The other reason could be fast metabolism of morphine although possibility for this reason is low as you are mIntaining on the same for for years.
I Hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

if a urine test was givin on 3-31-16 at 3:30pm and not received by the testing lab till 4-6-16 could that cause the false-negative I got for morphine sulfate and or alprazolam? the morphine should both positive and negative? I take 2 60mg 2x a day and .5mg of alprazolam 3x a day. been on this regiment for 9 yrs.
Brief Answer:
Delayed sample is not a reason for negative test
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
I do not think delay in sample processing could be the reason for negative test to morphine. Since morphine is metabolized in liver once you collect sample it remains there for long time and do not get eliminated just due to time effect.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks again.
