Is Neurobion Forte Effective In Treating Vitamin B12 Deficiency?
Question: I had contacted you regarding a sore tongue.
After that, it had healed with a cream called Zytee.
I had also got my Vitamin B12 test done. The count was 165, whereas the normal range is between 211-911. The doctor told me that this may be caused by B12 deficiency. I'm using a tablet called Neurobian Forte, as I didn't want to take injections. I've some questions:
1. I heard that Methyl Cabalamin is a better supplement. Is that true?
2. I heard that sublingual tablets of B12 are better absorbed than oral B12. However, I tried in a few medical shops, some big ones, but I didn't find a sublingual B12. Can you give me some brand names that I can check fo?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
METHYLCOBAL
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Neurobion Forte has only 15mcg of Vit B12 along with Thiamine and Riboflavin which are also B complex group of vitamins. However if there is proven deficiency of Vit B12 you should switch to METHYLCOBAL, 500mcg once a day for two months.
There are no sublingual tablets that I know. The above dose is good to correct the deficiency.
Hope this answers.
