Question: XXXXXXX husband is experiencing vertigo & had a prescription for Antivert. He has run out so have bought the over-the-counter, Meclizine, low-drowsy. Is the strength less they both say 25mg?

Over the counter,low drowsy Antivert contains Meclizine 25 mg.

Usual adult dose of Meclizine for Vertigo is 25 to 100 mg orally per day in divided doses.
Dosing dependent upon clinical response.
Your husband may take 25 mg orally 1 to 4 times a day-if the effect of medicine does not lasts longer .
