Question : Is 30 mg of Phentermine also called fastin n then why do diet doctors charge so much for it if it can be bought over the counter in a drug store

Thanks for your query.

There are two different products with same name. Though both serve the same purpose.

The OTC Fastin contains Phenylethylamine which is an organic compound and a natural monoamine alkaloid. It is a chemical related to amphetamines but not as effective as the same.

The other prescription drug Fastin contains Phentermine(phenyl-tertiary-butylamine) which is a psychostimulant drug similar to amphetamine. It is used medically as an appetite suppressant. This is more effective drug with high success rate.
