Is SGPT Level Of 81 Normal During Pregnancy?
kindly suggest
No need to intervene at 37 weeks
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
SGPT levels of 81 in pregnancy indicate obstetric cholestasis, of associated with itching.
In cases of obstetric cholestasis, it is advisable to induce labour at 38-39 weeks of pregnancy, as chances of fetal distress and adverse effects increase after 39 weeks of obstetric cholestasis is there.
However, there is absolutely no need for urgent admission and delivery at 37 weeks of pregnancy even if cholestasis is there.
She should be started on tab udiliv for cholestasis, and should monitor the fetal movements strictly.
She should get her biophysical profile by ultrasound and NST test done biweekly till delivery to determine the fetal well being, and get appropriate treatment timely.

AC IS MORE THAN EXPECTED
WITH THIS WHAT IS UR ADVISE DO WE NEED TO WAIT FOR NATURAL PAIN TILL 12TH OF XXXXXXX AS PER HER EDD OR SHOULD WE HAVE THE DELIVERY NOW WITH INDUCED PAIN.AS I'M LITTLE SKEPTICAL ABOUT INDUCED PAIN WHICH MAY AFFECT THE BABY AND MOTHER AND ALSO DR WAS TELLING THE WEIGHT IS HIGH.
KINDLY SUGGEST. IF YOU NEED ANY OTHER REPORT DO LET ME KNOW
Gestational diabetes should be ruled out
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have reviewed the ultrasound report.
It shows the abdominal circumference of the fetus to be high.Increased fetal weight and increased AC are increased in gestational diabetes mellitus.
I will suggest to get her oral glucose tolerance test with 75 gm glucose to detect any gestational diabetes mellitus.
If present, then she should have an elective caesarean section at 39 weeks.
It is advisable to do an elective caesarean section if the fetal weight is more than 3.5 kg.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
