Question: Hi,
I am an asthmatic. I have been using inhaler with medicine cipla 250 rotacaps. I feel short of breath once in every 2-3 days and so consume the capsule. Is this harmful having inhaler once in every 2-3 days. what are the side effect of this? What is the recommended dosage for an asthmatic
Brief Answer:
Best wishes
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query.
This time as you are falling short of breath every 2-3 days, your asthma is not controlled at the moment.
You must have told the name of the rotacap. Probably you are taking formoterol and fluticasone combination. The dose is adequate for the young adult and has to be taken for twice a day and that too for three months ideally.
The drug is safe. side effects may be oral thrush ( rinse mouth after each inhalation), tremors in hands, palpitations etc.
Usually the dose is so low to cause any s any major adverse effects...
Best wishes

Hi,
The medication i am using is "Seroflo Rotacaps" 250
Brief Answer:
Be consistent with the dosing schedule
Detailed Answer:
Well, that is salmeterol fluticasone combination....Please be consistent in your dosing otherwise asthma will not be controlled.
Also if you have symptoms of allergic rhinitis like frequent sneezing, running nose, colds on most of the time of the year.....that also needs to be controlled....
