Brief Answer:
This means your thyroid is working normally

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your questions and understand your concerns.

Your thyroid gland is functioning normally. So it is not a cause of weight gain. You probably have to change your sedentary lifestyle to prevent weight gain.

If your job is sitting for long hours, you should take atleast 10 minutes break for walking or stretching exercises every 3 hours.

Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further questions, I will be pleased to help you.

Along with Thyroid i got this blood test done
Results are
Platelet Distribution width [PDW] 17.2 [range 9.6 - 15.2]
Total RBC 5.06 * 10^6 [range 3.9 - 4.8]
Basophils 0.01 * 10^3 [range 0.02-0.1]

Rest all parameters are under control. These 3 were out of specs.
Anything to worry about?

Brief Answer:
No need to worry about

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome back. These results are OK. No need to worry. These tests are done in automatic counting machines which won't give accurate reports on platelets and red cells.
