Is Ursocol Or Reheptin Recommended For High SGOT And SGPT Levels?

Reheptin
Detailed Answer:
Hello ms XXXX ,
How are you? My name is Dr Suresh Raghavaiah. i am a Liver transplant surgeon and I hope to answer your question today.
Sgot and Sgpt are enzymes which are normally present inside the liver cells. When the liver cells get damaged, they get released into the blood and their levels increase. So basically what a raised levels tells us is that there is damage to the liver cells.
One of the function of the liver is to make the bilirubin in the blood to be more soluble. In patients with gall stones, the bile pigments become concentrated and less soluble. Urso de-oxy cholic acid or ursocol is used to increase the solubility of bile pigments and hence decrease the chances of stone formation.
Rehaptin on the other hand has a combination of Metadoxine, Silymarin and L-Ornithine-L-Aspartate. This has been theorised to help protect the liver from damage and help in its repair.
So in effect, tab Rehaptin would probably benefit you. But ofcourse, the reason why your SGOT and SGPT are elevated needs to be investigated and appropriate treatment initiated.
Hope this helps and hope you start to feel better. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further details required.
Have a great day
Dr Suresh Raghavaiah

Contains Naproxen. Can affect kidney
Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXX,
Thank you for writing back. Tab Headset contains both sumatriptan and Naproxen. Naproxen belongs to a class of drugs call NSAIDs which commonly affect the liver and after prolonged use or increased doses can affect the kidneys and heart. Excessive intake of the tablet could very well explain your abnormal sgot and sgpt levels. Please consult your doctor to make sure that it is safe to continue with the medication.
In view of your elevated enzyme levels, it would be advisable to stop taking the tablet till the enzyme levels return back to XXXXXXX
Please do not hesitate to contact back for clarifications
