Is Vicks Vaporizer Safe To Use In Presence Of G6PD Deficiency Infant?
Question: Hello,
My son of 7 months has G6PD Deficiency and my daughter is 21 months currently with Crupe. I want to use my Vicks Vaporizer with her with a Vicks Vapopad, but is this safe with my son consistently in every room of the house? Thank you.

The camphor content of vicks vaporub can occasionally cause hemolysis is Glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency individual. Exact safety is not proved. Inhalation form is much safe. But it's advisable to avoid it and use only plain steam inhalation.
