Is A TSH Level Of 2.34 A Cause For Concern?
Question: Hello,
I went through TPT a month ago the reports reflected that TSH was 8.11. For a month I took Shelcal 500 as the doctor asked me to do so. Now recently I again got thyroid test and the number has come down to 2.34. Does this mean it has come down or the earlier reports showed some faulty numbers.

Brief Answer:
hello
Detailed Answer:
TSH test varies from lab to lab and has got some diurnal variation too. It all depends on the assay sensitivity of the kits.
Anyway unless your TSH level is more than 10, you are not going to merit from any treatment.
Its worthwhile to check your T4/ tsh every year
You can consider doing an Anti TPO antibody which will guide you whether your chance of developing hypothyroidism is high.
feel free to contact in case if u have any further querry
thanks
