Is A Bone Age Of 14 In A Teenager A Concern?

There is still some room left but scope is limited.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HelathcareMagic.
In terms of age, there is hardly much difference between 14 years 4 months and 14 years. Please consider them to be identical. The growth plates are located at the ends of the long bones. There is a certain age of fusion of these growth plates, following which growth no longer occurs involving it. There is a definite age for fusion of the respective growth plates and depending on whether certain fusions have occured, the bone age of an individual is calculated. At 14 years there is still room for some more growth but still the scope is limited and his final height is still not expected to be significantly higher.
I would insist you to make him join swimming or running. These activities stimulate the normal growth potential.
