Is A Bruise On The Bottom Of The Foot A Symptom Of Lisfranc?

Can be due to swelling or fracture.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The bruise at the bottom of foot is likely to be due to fracture or the swelling. The stasis of blood in the area has caused bruising. Now that the cast has come off, gradually with movement and exercise the bruising and swelling will subside. It is best to keep the foot elevated in two pillows while resting and do a regular hot compress and a light massage to restore normal circulation in the area.
I hope this answers your query.

But honestly, while my foot still hurts, it seems to feel better with the walking shoe off and either my slippers around the house or my slide sandals that have a bit of arch support.
The walking shoe just makes my ankle and foot hurt and swell worse. Am I doing harm by not wearing it?
You can remove the shoe.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If you are more comfortable with the walking shoe off and there is no acute pain in the foot then there is no need to worry. You can remove the shoe and see that your foot is well supported and avoid any injury in the foot. You can wear a crepe bandage also for a good support.
Hope my answer is helpful.
