Is A Hard Lump In The Groin Area Indicative Of Lymphoma?
Unlikley to be a lymphoma!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this hard lump that you have noticed. the most common cause of hard lumps in the groin are swollen lymph nodes. This often happen when we get infections any where on the limbs. As the lymph nodes fight to control the infection, they usually increase in size and become palpable.
This not a lymphoma. Nodes suggestive of lymphoma grow over several months and the most common site are the neck region and not the groin. For now, all I recommend is that you put an eye on it. It will normally regress over time. If it doesn't or something else comes up, only at that time would I want to investigate further. Even then, it will not be a lymphoma.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
