Brief Answer:
Have mammogram using lead shield on the lower belly to protect ovaries.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Miss XXXXXXX
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani.I will be answering your concerns today.

Mammogram exposes you to a very small amount of radiation. The evidence available from small number of studies shows that it is fairly safe in pregnancy too. The radiation is focused at the breast. So the radiation reaching other parts of body is less. In addition please use lead shield on the lower belly to protect ovaries during mammography.

At less than 40 years of age focused ultrasound examination would be more informative than mammography. Do discuss this with your doctor.

I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
